What happens when you drop your iPhone?
24 01 2008
Apple iPhone Review has this rather scary narrative about an iPhone drop that led to a cracked screen - ouch!
Turns out it costs $199 to fix a 4GB iPhone screen and $249 to fix an 8GB iPhone screen. Why the price disparity? Who knows?

I’ve been pretty happy with my Incase, but I’m suddenly thinking about getting a more substantial case…. maybe something like this new case from GizMac?

Thanks for the link! Unfortunately, I learned I should use a case the hard way. Hopefully others will learn from my mistake. I took a poll on my site asking my readers if they use an iPhone case, and in the last three days 9 people have voted that they started using one AFTER having damaged their iPhones! Apparently, it’s not hard to do … speaking from experience
Hi Chris - thanks for dropping by! I just voted in your poll. The thing is, iPhones look so good without a case, that it really feels like a shame having to bulkify one with a clunky case. I’m still looking for a case that offers protection, but still looks good!
Yeah, I agree the iPhone is very attractive without the case. I actually ordered an Artwizz iPhone case yesterday. I chose that case because it seems to be protective while not taking away too much from the look of the phone. I’ll review it on my blog once I get it. (Thanks for voting in the poll!)
